Who we are
emuandpigeon.com is run by Just Gold Digital Agency Pty Ltd (ABN 20 630 605 926), trading as Just Gold. In this policy, "we" means Just Gold. You can contact us at hello@emuandpigeon.com.
What we collect
- Waitlist. Your email address, the page you signed up on and the date.
- Ask the twins. Your question, which twin you sent it to, your first name if you give it, whether you agreed to us using that name, and the date.
- Shop vote. Which line you voted for. Votes are counted, not linked to you. Your browser remembers that you voted so you cannot vote twice.
- Technical information. Like every website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic browser details to deliver pages and protect the site. If spam protection is switched on, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form is being sent by a person.
We do not ask for your full name, address or payment details, and we do not use advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To send you the emails you signed up for about the shop.
- To read your question and possibly answer it in a post. If you ticked the box, we may use your first name in that post. If you did not, we will not identify you.
- To count votes and decide what to make next.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your information or share it with anyone for their marketing.
Where it is stored
The site and its database are hosted by Cloudflare, which runs data centres around the world, including outside Australia. If we use Kit to send waitlist emails, your email address is also held by Kit in the United States. We use these providers only to run the site, and they are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.
How long we keep it
Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Questions are kept for up to two years and then deleted, unless they have been used in a post. Vote counts are kept as totals.
Your choices
Every email has a link to unsubscribe. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@emuandpigeon.com. We will reply within 30 days.
Young people
If you are under 16, please ask a parent or carer before you send us a question, and leave your name off.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email hello@emuandpigeon.com and we will work through it with you. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
